Thanks Ronnie - actually everything that Gator does is revealed
in their "Terms of Use", which is available prior to downloading
the software.  Personally, I don't have a problem with this as
long as they are up front about it. If someone does however, they

                   Today's Highlight in History

On this day in 1942, Lt. Col. Evans F. Carlson and a force of
Marine raiders came ashore Makin Island, in the west Pacific
Ocean, occupied by the Japanese. What began as a diversionary
tactic almost ended in disaster for the Americans.

Two American submarines, the Argonaut and the Nautilus,
approached Makin Island, an atoll in the Gilbert Islands, which
had been seized by the Japanese on December 9, 1941. The subs
unloaded 122 Marines, one of two new raider battalions. Their
leader was Lt. Col. Evans Carlson, a former lecturer on
postrevolutionary China. Their mission was to assault the
Japanese-occupied Makin Island as a diversionary tactic, keeping
the Japanese troops "busy" so they would not be able to reinforce
troops currently under assault by Americans on Guadalcanal
Island.

Carlson's "Raiders" landed quietly, unobserved, coming ashore on
inflatable rafts powered by outboard motors. Suddenly, one of the
Marines' rifles went off, alerting the Japanese, who unleashed
enormous firepower: grenades, flamethrowers, and machine guns.
The subs gave some cover by firing their deck guns, but by night
the Marines had to begin withdrawing from the island. Some
Marines drowned when their rafts overturned; about 100 made it
back to the subs. Carlson and a handful of his men stayed behind
to sabotage a Japanese gas dump and to seize documents.  They
then made for the submarines too. When all was said and done,
seven Marines drowned, 14 were killed by Japanese gunfire, and
nine were captured and beheaded.

Carlson went on to fight with the U.S. forces on Guadalcanal. He
was a source of controversy; having been sent as a U.S. observer
with Mao's Army in 1937, he developed a great respect for the
"spiritual strength" of the communist forces and even advo cated
their guerrilla-style tactics. He remained an avid fan of the
Chinese communists even after the war.

Market To Yourself

Usually we talk about how to market your product or service to
prospects.  But that leaves out one very important person--YOU!

As the economy has gotten tighter, we've seen a lot of very good
business ideas go by the wayside.  In many cases, the owner had
to face difficult challenges.  The problems could have been
overcome but the owner just felt too down to go on.

During these times it is important to market to yourself.  You
must be able to face problems while keeping your enthusiasm and
belief in your project.

Keep your optimism by realizing that many of the fears we have
aren't that firmly rooted in reality.  Something bad happens and
we immediately imagine a whole string of disasters that could
follow.  In the end, things are never as bad as we imagine.

Remind yourself most of your fears never materialize.  The
optimist who keeps smiling even when things look grim probably
has a point.

Keep your enthusiasm going.  It's hard to accomplish anything
without true passion and motivation for your work.  I often
create a new service or add a small improvement to an existing
service just to keep my own enthusiasm up.

Remind yourself that all things in business require patience.  We
may want it NOW, but the world is rarely ready to let us have it
that fast.

I have a friend who filled his car with gas at a self-service gas
station.  After he had paid and driven away, he realized that he
had left the gas cap on top of his car. He stopped and looked
but, sure enough, it was lost.

Well, he thought for a second and realized that other people must
have done the same thing, and that it was worth going back to
look by the side of the road since even if he couldn't find his
own gas cap, he might be able to find one that fit.

Sure enough, he hadn't been searching long when he found a gas
cap. He tried it on, and it went into place with a satisfying
click.

"Great," he thought, "I lost my gas cap, but I found another one
that fits.  And this one's even better because it locks."

                        Network Marketing

           Four Fuels for Your Network Marketing Rocket

As with any rocket, you need to give your network marketing
business fuel. There are four fuels that will take to to the
stars:

1. Purpose and Goals - the highest octane fuel is your purpose.
   It's the "why" for your business. First you must figure out
   why you are in network marketing, then you can determine the
   goals necessary to achieve your purpose. Your purpose will
   keep you going when the times get tough and the goals will
   keep you on track.

2. Faith - if you have done a good job of selecting the right
   company, then your belief should be strong and will grow over
   time. In the meantime, have faith that things are going to
   work out. You must eliminate any non-belief.  Have faith in
   your company, products, upline, and most of all yourself.
   Faith will help you keep going when the naysayers start
   telling you that this won't work.

3. Education/Knowledge - if you want to achieve big success in
   network marketing, you must become a master network marketer.
   This requires you to read everything you can get a hold of -
   books, publications, newsletters, online forums and
   newsgroups, etc. Attend seminars put on by your company and
   those that are generic. Listen to tapes about your company,
   products and network marketing in general.  Find a mentor
   within your company - someone who has already achieved a high
   level of success and is willing to work with you. The greater
   your knowledge and understanding of how to use that knowledge,
   the greater your success will be.

4. Action - this is where you put all the fuels together to
   produce an explosion. From your goals, set daily activities.
   Push yourself beyond your usual level of activity. Remember
   that all you have to do is build for 2 to 5 years and if you
   do it right, you'll never have to work again. Action is what
   ignites the fuels. You can have all the other's, but if you
   don't launch into action, nothing will happen. Do something
   every day to build your business and if you want massive
   results, you need massive action.
