Chain Letters
I get at least two email chain letters a day . They tell me to
send $5 to five people and promise I will make a fortune in 60
days. First of all a chain letter is illegal. No matter what
"mumbo-jumbo" they might quote from US Postal Regulations, they
are against the law.They are usually very long, written by a supposed attorney, who
tries to convince you they are legal, and they tell stories of
receiving great wealth in a short period of them.They then give you five names and addresses to mail your $5
to - take a close look at them. Five addresses in the same town,

On this date in 1975, Showa Tenno Hirohito, the 124th Japanese
monarch along an imperial line dating back to 660 B.C., was
welcomed by President Ford at the start of his first visit to the

Recipe of the Week
by Susan KempCilantro Salmon With Pepper Black Bean Relish
This recipe is a tantalizing combination of flavors.
Cilantro is the parsley like leaves of fresh coriander.
Main Ingredients:
5 ea. 6 oz. fresh salmon filets
1/2 cup chopped fresh cilantro
7 oz. salad oil
Salt and white pepper to taste1. Marinate salmon in cilantro and oil for 1 hour.
2. Pan sear until slightly carmelized.
3. Season to taste, finish in oven.Relish ingredients:
4 oz. rinsed drained black beans
1/2 ea. medium diced red pepper
1/2 ea. medium diced green pepper
1/2 ea. medium diced yellow pepper
1 1/2 ea. medium diced seeded tomatoes
1 oz. small diced jalapenos
4 oz. small diced red onion
2 ea. juice from 2 oranges
1/3 cup chopped cilantro
2 oz. soy oil
2 oz. rice vinegar
Salt and white pepper to taste
1 ea. peeled julienne potato fried and seasoned
1 ea. small can mandarin oranges1. Mix red pepper and beans (mix into relish right before
serving).
2. Mix remaining ingredients, omitting potatoes and mandarins,
let stand 1 hour.
3. Place 1 cup relish (serve cold or room temp) on plate and
spread evenly.
4. Place salmon on relish.
5. Garnish relish with mandarins.
6. Garnish salmon with fried potatoes.Serves 5
The ingredients blended together are simply delectable...a must
